Six Reasons to Kill

Biography

Photo of Six Reasons to Kill SIX REASONS TO KILL was founded in february 1999 and just five months later the band recorded a 6-track demo after which they signed to ALVERAN RECORDS and IMPERIUM/HOWLING BULL (for the territory of Japan). In early 2000 SRTK released their debut full-length CD entitled “Kiss The Demon”, after just a year of existence.

Since then the band played countless shows and tours with bands from both sides, the metal- and the hardcore-scene such as Hatebreed, Hellchild, Testament, Agnostic Front, Caliban, Shadows Fall, Napalm Death, Anti-Flag, Rage, Hatesphere, Heaven Shall Burn or Madball.

In 2001 SRTK joined forces with Germany’s ABSIDIA which resulted in a split-CD/LP (“Morphology Of Fear”) which got released with an outstanding artwork done by the mighty Glashaus-Design Team on BASTARDIZED RECORDINGS/ PER KORO in march 2002.

On a small tour with vegan straight edge metal heroes DEADLOCK the idea was born to put all energy in a second split CD. So both bands entered the studio to record 4 brandnew songs each. The ”Split” - entitled CD reached the light of day in july 2003 and the first press was sold out within 3 months.
Right after the recording session, Patrick (drums) left the band to join CALIBAN and Stefan (bass) decided to put more focus on his other band DEADSOIL.
Since early 2004 SRTK’s strong bound line-up is Marco A. (Guitars), Christian (Vocals), Marco S. (Guitars), Matthias (Bass) and Florian (Drums).

Many people describe the SRTK-sound as a mixture of bands such as Bolt Thrower/Six Feet Under/Obituary and early Machine Head with a portion of brutal hardcore ala Hatebreed.

Right now SIX REASONS TO KILL is working on new material which will be released in fall 2004. Don’t miss to see them live on one of their brutal live-performances in a town near you.
